Kind of... I've had chickens for 7 years now, been a BYC groupie for 4 years. Just recently remembered I haven't logged in for a long long time to BYC.Are you new here?
Mine wasn't really a plan to have chickens. But I got hooked walking through a local hardware store. Walked out with 8 EE chicks and all supplies for a brooder. Then started building my coop and run. A little backwards but in a couple weekends it was all built! I've added to the flock... I got an EE rooster, and then my broody hen just had to hatch some chicks and I just had to let her, I had to put down my rooster, I got another rooster, and then I just had to buy more EE's this spring... I'm up to 17 members of the coop now.ok!
Funny, i've had chickens for seven years too
Is that the reason you bought that house? My flock came with the house when we moved in, we now have 40+ including 7 roo's
No, my little bro was diagnosed with leukemia when he was 3 years old, and the hospitals where we moved from didn't have the best care specifically for that.Is that the reason you bought that house?
That's a tough situation at that age.No, my little bro was diagnosed with leukemia when he was 3 years old, and the hospitals where we moved from didn't have the best care specifically for that.
we found the perfect house and the lady who owned it couldn't take all of her chickens with her, so we had about seven or eight of hers, and then through seven years built up our flock.
