I posted about 4 weeks ago about my hen that suddenly became paralyzed after apparently having her head grabbed by another hen.
This coming monday will be 5 weeks since the injury, and although I thought she was improving a teeny tiny eensy bit, she really wasn't.
Today I took her to the vet, and it was confirmed by the vet that she was failing and wasn't going to get any better.
I had to make the decision to have her put to sleep.
I was hoping she would stand up, but it wasn't in the cards obviously.
I still have no idea what caused her to become paralyzed, but I tried everything I could to help her.
She wasn't eating very much and I had to force her to eat everyday, and give her vitamins, therapy on her legs, etc.
Anyway, it was sad, but she had no quality of life.
So, this is the final update.
Thankyou to everyone who offered suggestions and good thoughts.
I appreciate all of it.
