I don't want to either. I thought this one was a rattlesnake at first. I didn't know what to do, it was striking at my chickens and me... I called the police hoping they could remove it...

I ended up removing it. One guy had a sawed off shotgun and I actually wanted them to kill it to save it from a slow death from the ceramic egg, but... the older police man was like., "YOU SHOOT IT YOU HAVE THE GUN" and the younger with the shotgun was too busy screaming like a little girl. I ended up removing and relocating the snake myself. I would call them chickens, but even the chickens were approaching the snake.

That's funny. It could be a black racer, as ive never seen rat snakes that color but idk
