Two of my hens have been laying for several months now and was waiting for the last hen to lay. Tallulah-- our Salmon Favarolle finally gave us an egg after 42 long weeks. We threatened her with my recipe for chicken soup now and then but she just played aloof. The past few weeks I felt she was close because she stayed in the coop just hanging out and her comb reddened. I'm so excited that we have 3 laying hens now and I'm hoping we won't have to supplement ( it pains me to buy store-bought).
