I knew there was something stealing the chickens' eggs that they laid before i could collect them! we had an old raccon trap with a few eggs in it, but the little bugger kept getting the eggs without setting off the trap! i would often smell the smell of skunk apon walking into the barn, so i thought it was a skunk. but today we finally caught the little bugger, a huge well fed skunk sprayed rat! it was the size of a grey squirrel! i usually don't see many rats out here, so i was rather surprized. anwyas, hes gone now, my dad killed him. now i can know that the chooks are much safer when i leave them to free range in the surprizingly warm weather. (all i have to worry about now is my dogs and barn cat)
