Finally Duck run is finished!

I found having a "pea party" in the new house helped reduce anxiety quite a bit.

As long as foxes (or other predators) cannot find a weak spot to push through, you should be fine. We have raccoons here in New England, and I got keyed locks for all the pen latches. Those critters are said to be able to open many types of latches.

Forgive me for forgetting to say that is one lovely setup!!!

Yup,,you should see the handy work I had to invent myself to keep raccoons fingers from opening latches ect. I have dead bolt locks for the chickens coop,,they're terribly manipulative those raccoons!

Beautiful set up though,,very very nice !!

I found it odd that it was cheaper for us to buy ready made, praps I was looking in the wrong stores. The major thing cost wise was the wire to be honest and only because I insisted we have the gauge recommended for dog kennels just in case we have a visit from a particularly persistent fox! Buying that separately in panels would have cost almost as much as the whole run! To be honest I think the other half was happy too, he does really long hours at work and would have struggled to make the panels as well as put the whole thing together, I'm useless with making things, slabs I can lay but give me a piece of wood, saw and screws and I'm heading for disaster!
yeah i think thats what it is

i brought all my wood from selco as i have a traders account with them and got the galv from ebay so it wasnt too expensive my galv is same as what you have used

i must say though be proud of your self as you may not be good with wood but slabs aint easy and you done a great job

The run and coop are so cute! Great job!

I love the colors you picked. I know nothing about ducks, but they adorable! I love the poofs on their heads.

Thanks everyone for your nice comments, I am proud of myself it was a lot of hard work but worth it! I wanted the run big enough so that the ducks would be happy and safe whilst we were out at work. My other half thinks I'm a bit mad for having it so big but as the pet shop said they were Aylesbury's I was expecting them to get rather large, also I have no idea what sex they are yet so may have to add to the flock if I end up with a boy.
As for the slabs they look straight now just hoping they stay that way and don't slip!
