FINALLY! First eggs from Mel, the black sex links!

Holy cow! One of the Mels layed the first egg today! I am so relieved. This is the first group of pullets that I raised from chickhood so I thought that I had messed up. The egg is beautiful though and I am happy, happy, happy!

Wah hoo!!! So what's ya gunna do with it?? Eat it, blow it, set it out and admire it? My first egg was photographed and displayed until a few more arrived, then savoured in a delicous omelete!
