Finally got fence up to keep the neighbors dog out and now

Yes, he can make havoc of chickens quickly. We, and another neighbor, have shot the dumb thing with pellets and BB's several times but he doesn't get detoured and neither does his owners who have lived up the way forever and believe they own the right to let him rule the roost. He may get mysteriously shot or disappear one day and we have lots of dogs. When a dog becomes a chicken killer he isn't worth his weight in the feathers he leaves behind.
He is a pretty thing and I swear it is the only reason I haven't used him for target practice. Better to save the phone call and hassle of calling a dog pound that would be worse than talking to a state worker for children and going through several months of battles. Or trying to pay to have a "Safe (rippoff) Haven" call and pay for them to take him.
I probably won't shoot him now that we have a fence but it isn't because of a neighborly neighbor with no respect. I believe his turn will come though it usually does.
