Finally got me some birds

After a 12 year drought of not having any chickens, I am now 'with chickens"

Finished my tractor this afternoon.
Went to the chicken auction tonight.
Made out like a thief.
I got two indescriminant bantam pullets for 90 cents each.
I got a pair of bantam Aracaunas for 7 dollars each. ( Beautiful)
I also got a pair of Blues for 2 dollars each. Very pretty blues.

I got to use my new transport cage I built, and got a bunch of compliments on it.

Hey, new here! Looks like a gold mine of information, but I'm lazy, so I'll just ask - I'm thinking of getting chickens - again. Had 4 Rhode Island Reds last time - lovely girls. But now considering banties, and getting a rooster. I think they do less serious soil re-arranging, and the crowing may be a minor, rather than major, irritation to the neighbors.

Does anyone have any advice on finding 4-6 banty pullets in the Tacoma-Seattle-Everett metro area of Western Washington State? Any book recommendations on bantys in particular?

Here is my Aruacana bantam hen with the little OE Blue hen behind.

HEre is Napolean, my OE Blue rooster.

I would have provided a picture of my Araucana Bantam roo.....................
But I opened the door to put some feed in and he flew the coop.
Havent seen him since.
I hope he comes back tonight.
