Yesterday while cleaning out the run and coop I saw a egg in the middle of the run. I was so excited and told everybody. I really wasn't expecting any eggs for a few more weeks. So I went to the feed store and bought "Oyster Shell" and a bag of layer feed. I also stop buy the "Family Dollar" store and bought two Kittie litter box's. Just the typical plastic ones. I put the boxes in the coop with some pine chips. And was ready to start teaching my birds to use them to lay their eggs. This morning I went out to check on the girls and see if there were any eggs on the ground again. But there weren't any. I was hoping but not surprise there wasn't a egg. Later around 12PM when I let the girls out to free range I check the coop, just in case. To my surprise there it was in the middle of the kittie litter nest box was a medium brown egg. I was delighted and told my hens how smart they were. Can't wait now for the rest of them to lay.
Thanks for reading me bragging.
