I have wanted a Rooster since I was a little girl. My boyfriend bought me a rooster on Sat. I couldnt ask for a more perfect rooster. He is a 6 month old Maran. He had a little bit of a rough start but he is a very smart lil man. Unfortunatly I wasnt prepared for him and he has been loose the last few days. Im very wooried about him. He comes to me everyday but I have not been able to catch him. Ive tried several tricks but he watches my every move. Im hoping to catch him soon and I will get him a girlfriend.

He's lucky a predator hasn't grabbed him yet. Do you know where he sleeps at night? Chickens don't like to move in darkness. If you find him you could throw a nest or sheet over him and catch him pretty easily. But if you don't have a place to put him that won't do you any good. Also a rooster can handle 10 hens. If you just have 1 he will breed her too death.

Sometimes surprises don't work out. It's better to be prepared.

Ty all for making me feel so welcomed. I do have a coop set up for my rooster. He comes and sits with me during the day but goes into hiding at night. Im going to try to find where he sleeps tonight, ty for the help. This is my handsome rooster
