I got some geese off a Craigslist ad. I was told one was a Toulouse, and the other he didn't know what it was. I was also told they were a pair. Any help would be great.

P.S. They were an early Christmas present. And they have lovely attitudes. No hissing, except at the dogs.

Maybe a pair of Pilgrims? Is the white one bigger, and that's the one that hisses at the dog? Pilgrims are pretty easy to come by, and lots of people like them because they are sexable by color. I have never had them though- so just a guess.
Congrats on your new family members!

I say hissing, but I am not sure. I just got them yesterday. My mother's small dog started chasing them. And it is the brown one that was hissing at them.

I want to say the grey is maybe an African/Embden cross due to the neck stripe. The pink legs and bill throw me on that one for sure.

The white looks to be a 2nd or 3rd generation cross pulling more white than color.

Given how rare it is, doubtful a barnyard mix has that in it. We have a Sebbie who has pink toned bill and legs, it is not uncommon in some breeds, but is not widely dominant. It would be best to ask the person who you got them from what geese they have, but then again many dont know, or wrongly know what breeds they have in farm yard mixed flocks.

Okay. The guy didn't really know anything about Ducks or Geese. Yet he is a 4-H dad that is always at the fair with his daughter and wife. :/ And he was trying to make me feel stupid about ducks.

I love them and they have wonderful attitudes. That is the important thing. I am still looking into getting full blooded Chinese Geese, my favorite breed, save for the Sebbies.
