we have 15 that are around 18 weeks, 7 that are about 14 weeks, 5 ducks and the babies and there are 9 of them. There are also a couple of bantam frizzle cochins who are about 5 months old i think.

Your birds look really good! That's a nice area you made for shade and shelter in their run. You can see that your birds enjoy it. Nice duck pond, too! Your wife did a good job.

no worries matey...it took about 5 mins...its just a couple of 8foot by 6 high sections of stockade fencing and a couple of pieces of 4x2 to hold it together...not fancy but keeps the sun/wind and rain off them. I dont have enough coop space in there yet for 4 feet per bird so this solves the problem for the summer and i will expand the coop before the cold sets in.

the duck pond my wife found on the side of the road...its a steel thing that had been used i think to hold concrete/mix concrete maybe? She put the tarp in there and presto instant pond for the ducks...it has to be refilled every few days because the tarp is not totally water proof but its pretty good and the ducks love it. The step into it i found behind the shed at my new house.
