Very nice! I like how you left the one side open. What are the white vents on the sides?

Thank you! The open side is a large door for easy cleaning. Well easier lol The white vents are some that my husband found at Lowes. He didn't want to cut holes and cover with wire like I wanted. He didn't like the way it would look. I just hope it's enough ventilation for them.

There are two ways to find out if you have enough ventilation when the coop is closed up for the night.

1) use a digital, recording thermometer so you can see how the temperature fluctuates over the nights time. This can be recorded in 15 minute to one hour increments.

2) use a flow meter to see how much air flows through the coop at the vents. more air flow = better cooling.

I prefer to use the thermometer myself, but I'm always doing research to get to optimum conditions for our critters and crops.

Below is a convenient unit but it might be a bit pricey for most folks (it is one of the least expensive setups though)

This unit will give you humidity, temperature and can even be used to monitor the water dish temperature at the same time. It will send you the data at your decided interval via your phone or computer.

I realize it is probably overkill but it does let you know exactly what is going on temp, humidity and water temp wise with out you having to go to the coop to gather the information.
