Actually, I'm on the first knuckle of the index finger! lol. Near Alpena. I'm sorry, who goes south from Traverse City to the GR area? Must be work or family hunh.
 
Hope noone is offended by my (predator) avatar, "I'm no chicken". Someone suggested that I add to my profile, which I don't believe I'm doing correctly. Anyway, I now live in NE lower peninsula of MI, in the woods. I have no chickens yet. Won't purchase them until the coop and run are done. Plan to allow for mega free ranging as well, under supervision of course.

Yeah, really! I actually lived in Eastport, on the north end of Torch Lake when I was growing up. I came to GR to go to Grand Valley, found a job, a husband, 25 acres. So, no Torch Lake, but no $$$$$ property taxes either. ;) Big gardens, a wonderful dog, and ... chickens!

Torch Lake is beautiful and there is lots to do in Grand Rapids.
