Domino, our beautiful EE who took great care of his girls, got re-homed Saturday. Our local feed store where we got the chicks has a $5 rooster return policy, and they said they're sure he'll go somewhere nice. The crowing was creating some neighbor issues, but the kicker was when he would occasionally get agressive. Nothing extreme, but fast moves would set him into "rooster mode." Couldn't risk it with our daughters around. Sad not to hear him, but it'll be okay. Thanks everyone, for the advice on sound insulation.

I'm sorry. At least your feed store would take him back. It can take a long time to find someone to take a rooster even when it's free and then you have to worry he'll get eaten. At least you don't have to worry about it now. The employees at our TSC end up taking in a lot of homeless chickens for people who can't keep them.
