Baby number three just hatched!

The curious thing is that I won an auction for 6+ Splash Silkies and so far I have one splash and two black!

Cute all the same though, and I am thankful that they hatched and I have babies

Two more with slight pips to go

Promise to post pics as soon as he fluffs!

What's that I see in the water dish? Are those clear rocks of some sort? Do you see what I mean?
Looks like big bubbles.

Or is it just me?

Woke up this morning to another baby. There was only one more to hatch and she had been trying to get out from her zip since near 12 midnight. This was one with an air cell down the side of the egg and she was also upside down

I figured 6 hours was more than enough to let it try on it's own and since she was the last one, i carefully helped her out.

So final total out of 7 eggs, 2 did not develop and 5 hatch.

I may have one or two with some leg trouble...still watching.

I'll be sure to post more pictures very soon!

Looks like that or clear marbles- you put them in the water for newly hatched chicks to help keep them from drowning themselves if they fall in the water.
