My chicken life is almost complete - one of the EE's laid her first egg today! [IMG] Now if by some quirk of fate one of them could produce a blue one things will be totally complete! [IMG]

As you can see the eggs are still small from all the girls, I'm pretty sure the two BO's are laying, two of the BR's, and I've seen one RIR on the nest - now an EE. Eight hens to go! I've had more eggs than are there, there's a full dozen in the fridge, and I've used eight in cooking, so since Oct. 30 we've had 31 eggs. One was broken in the nest box today - the break was on the bottom, obviously it dropped and hit the hard bottom of the box, I found it and quickly got rid of it.

Ooooh, congratulations! I'm SO envious... my girls are only 17 weeks old, and since I have decided not to add artificial light to their coop, I'll probably have to wait for spring for any eggs.

Thanks for posting the pic... it gives me hope [IMG].

I love the two different green colored eggs from two of my EE's[IMG] The other two lay pink so I hatched out 5 more and of those five chicks I can see two have tiny lil spur knobs so I may get another green egg layer out of the three lil ones...hoping so! Congratulations! Can we see pics of the EE's? Mine are just black, like Black Ameraucana's but don't lay the pretty robin blue eggs so are EE's but they are very gentle large birds and I'm happy w/them.
