Finally have my homebuilt Incubator up and running

Isn't your first hatch so exciting? I did my first hatch last May and I couldn't help from constantly checking on them. Lock down was the worst.

I took so many pictures thru the window during the hatch.

Yes it's very exciting, I hope we have a successful hatch so I can see how my crosses turn out.

Eggs are pipping!!
I'm not ready, they are two days early.
There has been little progress in the last couple of hours. is it normal for the chicks to take an extended break before zipping?
There isn't as much chirping as there was initially, should I be concerned.

About 1/3 have pipped but it does not look like they have actually punctured the membrane

Yep... It must be pretty hectic in there by now...

Always rewarding to see the chicks running around, after a 3 week wait... Congrats scooter and thanks for sharing!!...

You mentioned "two days early"?... Maybe your bator temperature is a bit high... Try lowering it (maybe somewhere from 0.5 to 1 degree?) in your next hatch.
