YAY - we finally had time to fence in their outside area, and set up their pond. We don't have it fully secure but they get "locked" in the barn at night and that is secure. But i'm so happy and hope they continue to get used to the pond and swim in it. I put one of the girls in it and she seemed to have liked it. The others jumped right out when i put them in so maybe after watching her they will go in eventually....

You can see the others inside the barn watching her.

Did you use flexible liner for it, and if so did you need to buy a special kind that will withstand the duck's sharp toenails?

We used the flexible liner not the pre-formed ones..... I didn't get anything special, 45 mil i think it is, and so far no issues. I found a complete kit on ebay for $60 including shipping.

It needs to be cleaned right now, and it will be our first clean. It came with a "pump" and squirts out water from a fishes mouth, so I'm hoping I can remove the tube from the fish and pump it out that way and use like a scrub brush to clean the liner. I will let you know how it works. I may wait until the weekend to clean it though because its supposed to rain for the rest of the week, so it will depend on the weather.
