Thank you so much!! He is doing better, thank God. He had a horrible bladder infection that ended up getting so bad it went throughout his entire system. He was ok at 7pm ne evening when I talked to him on the phone. No sign at all of being sick, then at 2 AM he called me and said he didn't feel good and could I come and take him to the hospital. It takes a LOT to have him admit he is in pain, and he was doubled over and had a high fever, was shaking and becoming kind of goofy--saying strange things and generally not himself. We were in the ER for 3 hours of 103 temps, throwing up, couldn't pee, etc and the doctor said he could go home! I said I didn't think so and the doctor insisted he could go home with a catheter. Then the doctor went to BED! So the nurses (who knew what they were doing) stalled until the next doctor came in and the horrible doctor went home. The new doctor pronounced him a VERY sick man and had him admitted to the hospital and he was there 10 days. It was a horrible ordeal and I can not imagine why that doctor was such a jerk. And my dad was the ONLY patient in the ER all night! I was going to take him to another hospital, but thankfully it was time for the next doctor to come on duty, and the nurses took very good care of him.
So now we're waiting for another test the urologist has scheduled, but things are going pretty good. I was really afraid I was going to lose my Daddy. Lost my mom in '02 and he's all I've got. He's 84 and until this mess was in very good health.
Sorry to ramble! I thank you so much for your well-wishes, herefordlovinglady!
I'm glad to hear he's doing better. I went through something like that earlier this summer with my mom. It turned out to be complete kidney failure do to the STATIN medication (for cholesteral) that caused it, she was in the hospital for 3 weeks and in the care facility for a month after that and she is finally received her discharge papers from all the homehealth care services.
Dont worry about it, you have been super busy as have I. The only reason I get mine out relatively on time is because I buy most of it in advance LOL. Then I box it ahead of time too lol. Well I am looking forward to seeing it. Iam praying for you and the fam.

Wow what you describe sounds like what just happened with my MIL. she had a bladder infection, didn't tell anyone the next we know, she is in the hospital on and off for over three weeks. We worried about her mental state, because it was all confused. She also ended up with pneumonia. she is 77 and seems to be better her children will not let her do anything now, they are treating her like an old woman. she gets so mad, they wont even let her drive to town, we are in country and there is no reason, but she is not my mother so I keep my mouth shut
I am so glad you dad is good. 84, that really doesn't seem so old anymore -- for me anyway.
Ok .. I got my gift(s) AND I mailed mine out on Saturday ..
