Wish me luck guys. I go to the cardiologist in the morning and hopefully get my ICD set right. It has went off twice in less than 2 weeks and I had to take a little ride in the ambulance the other night. I hate that.

This thing has went off about 12 times now, I feel terrible all the time, I cant bend over at all. This is my new one I got in Feb 09 and I have had nothing but trouble with it. To make matters worse my DH works out of state and it is my poor GD who lives with me who is stuck with me getting shocked.....

. So they say a reset and a new med on top of the other 14 I take.

Aw Terri, I know what you mean, I really love a lot of people on the board too! I hope they take care of your problems. I know my dad got one a few weeks before he passed, they couldn't get it to work at all. It's a hit and miss thing since everyone's body is different. I am excited for the swap too. I usually need a pick me up when they show up at the door anyway. I got a few nifty things for the swap this month!

Praying for you Terri,

Hope the doctors get it right for you, not sure what an ICD is, but hope it gets fixed. I pray all BYC folks have a wonderful day today...

Love y'all.

Correct me if I am wrong anyone, but I was thinking it was a pacemaker.... pretty sure I am right, they shock your heart if it isn't pumping correctly to try to correct the heart beat. They can be painful and a pain in the tush!

It's actually very similar to a pacemaker. It's and ICD .. Internal Cardiac Defibrillator. It's implanted the same way, with electrodes attached to the heart. It can function as a pacemaker also, but the primary function of one is to jump start a heart that has stopped beating, or hesitates (a reeeeally long hesitation). This is also the reason that they cost upwards around 4 times as much as a pacemaker.

Hope everything went well at the Dr.'s today.

I'm working on getting the list finished, but dang work keeps getting in the way.

TheChickenCameFirst I will try to get yours to you, and a few others at least out today.

I have had to take off work 2 mornings this week to attend meetings regarding my newly moved in stepson so that has kinda taken a toll on free time at work.

It may seem like it takes me a long time but I try not have you send/receive to/from the same person within the past several months.

OK. Back to the list.
