After using BYC for all sorts of info for the last year I finally took the time to join. We're in northeastern Nevada and are pretty new to the chicken hobby. We started a small flock last summer and lost it to coyotes. Started again in March and now have a small mixed flock including: barred rock, buff Orpington, golden sex- link, EE, Wyandotte, an OEGB banty (I think anyhow), a blue silkie banty, a partridge silkie banty and 5 newly hatched mixed breeds (the Roos were an EE and a Sultan). I have turned into a crazy bird lady, truly. Along with the chooks we have a Meyers parrot, 2 cats, two mini Aussies and a border labby.
