I first got chickens while living in Mexico in 2007. I'm now in Indy and started with 4 that a friend won and gave me.
I have 13 right now, including one of the original 4. They range in age from 4 years to 3 months.
Unfortunately I currently have 5 roos. 2 are about 5 months and think they are the boss.
Both of my daughters also have chickens. One is just restarting her flock after moving from Texas. The other has a bunch, 30+?
I have been reading BYC as needed for years. I finally went ahead and registered.

Welcome to BYC. Thank you for joining the flock. Five roos are 4 roos too many. They will harass and over breed the hens. You could pick the most well mannered Roo to keep and either rehome the other 4 or keep them in a rooster coop away from the girls. Some folks decide to have extra roos for dinner - as the main course.
