tomorrow is the big day (the day they're technically due to hatch)! still some wobbling but no pips yet

i'm getting so impatient!! i feel like i'm staring into my bator every 10 seconds! it's taking everything i've got to keep from opening the lid and candling to see what's going on in there and if they're are any internal pips. oh i do hope they hatch

guess i just gotta tie my hands up and wait and see

Very frustrating and exciting at the same time! Mine were due today and last night I thought I heard birds, but the t.v. was on. They were really loud!! So I woke up my son and glued our ears to the top of the incubator and again; Chirping!! It's amazing, something that can't be described to non-chicken people! This is my first time hatching (made my own cooler incubator), so I think only 4 out of 10 eggs are hatching. I have some changes to make for next time, maybe will increase the odds.

Got up this morning and 2 of them have pipped! Yay! I know what you are going through, very anxious and excited.

today was the 21st day for my eggs an tonight I finally hear chirping I only have 11 eggs and this is my first time Im so excited this is so cool to watch I was beginning to wonder if any would hatch

I now have 3 out of the 4 I thought would hatch out of their shells. The first one to pip is the last one out. It is still trying to zip when it first pipped yesterday at 5:00am! I read the thread about not intervening and about the process of hatching. It was VERY enlightening, and said to wait at least 24-48 after the external pip. So far this has been true, I think it will be out in a couple hours at the most. This was my first time also, and very exciting

what day of lockdown did you get your first pip? was it before, on, or after the due date? mine are a day over due and i still have no pips

they were wobbling a little this morning but none are piping! i'm very worried and i'm afraid none are going to hatch

this is my first time so i don't know what can be normal and when i should really start to worry

They chirped inside the shell on the due date and pipped on the day after. 3 out of the 4 were the last to pip and the 1st one to pip is still working on hatching after 36 hours. So from what I have read on the postings if your temps were a little low it can be a couple days later than normal. Most every post I have read has said to just be patient, some are slower than others.
