The Crazy Chicken Lady
If you read here often enough you will know I recently acquired 2 Muscovy girls. They are beautiful chocolate and white ladies and I named them Huggs and Kisses.
Huggs went broody the other day!!!!
I saw her laying down her feathers and knew something was up.
I put a few duck eggs under her, knowing they are mix breed probably but I don't care at this point and neither does she. And Huggs was so kind to let me check under her yesterday for extra eggs and mark the ones I wanted her to keep. She is a real sweetheart!!
I absolutely love the chirping and sat with her a while so she could tell me about her new upcoming family. She is in general population but has a fine nest in the corner and there is plenty of room in the 10x14 stall for them all at night. Maybe I will have all the pens finished by the time she hatches babies out.
Oh! And I have duck eggs under my Silkies and under a stubborn GLW hen!
