We got our second egg today, a week after the first one...sadly had a crack but still...the little dragons are trying!

Got my first egg yesterday! I was about to give up. My chickens are 5 months old. The eggs are so small. Is that normal?

Here is a pic of one of my first and a super jumbo and extra large.

My first eggs were around 1 1/2 ounces, 43 grams. My largest 3 1/3 ounces, 95 grams. My Golden Comets at 10 months average mostly extra large 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 ounces, 64 to 71 grams. GC

My 18 week old Easter Egger laid the first egg of my 6 pullets yesterday. VERY exciting! It was good size, green, and hard shelled. None today, though. She laid it in the pen even though the nests were ready and had a ceramic egg in each. They'll figure it out.
