I just thought I would point out that you could really help out someone who wants nice chicks but balks at the shipping charges, like me and my DH. The shipping costs to ship the chickies 96.15 miles (just under a two hour drive) appalled us!
I checked with Randall Burkey and we couldn't pick them up in person.
To all the new eggs that ordered chicks, you don't know what you have coming, It'll be over for you as soon as you get them, YOU"LL WANT MORE!! And those of you who have a long wait till your ordered chicks come in, I dare you to go to Tractor Supply and look at those chicks, 99.9 percent chance that you will leave with at least a half dozen, feed, brooding light, wood shavings, feeder and waterer!
Oh I know! I'm kind of excited though because I NEED to go to the feed store to get stuff for the brooder box. I purposefully didn't let my husband buy them when we ordered the chicks. YAY YAY YAY! The more the merrier, right?
Well DH and I took a trip to the TSC on saturday and left almost completely empty handed. We took home a magazine and 2 strawberry planters. I know I don't understand it either. I think that I didn't beg for chicks was because I have some on the way. But if I had gone alone I would have come home with a few ducks and 2 rabbits. I wanted a rabbit soooo badly.
But I'll get one soon. DH did say we could go back before chick days ends to get some ducks!!! He is so sweet.
I got a phone call this morning at 6:30 from the Post office saying my chicks were here from McMurray Hatchery. I got the email yesterday from the hatchery saying they had been shipped. So get ready, here they come!
