Finally Powers back on after Tuesdays storm.

We really were not put out by the lack of ellectricity. The chores got done, meals were cooked, life a usual except we read to each other by lantern light instead of watching TV and playing on electronics. We cooked on our camp stoves and fire pit. We stoked up the wood burner and boiled water for washing all was pretty normal here. Just a lil more fun for us to spend more time together.

Wow! Good job! I have camped out for several months at a time...sure is relaxing isnt it? You just did it in your home. I have a camp stove and Gas bottles...But if we get a huge hurricane season here this year I need to stock up a little better with batteries and lanterns etc.
Be nice if they made a battery air conditioner though

If the power is off for a week here we would die of heatstroke.
