Had to tack the roof sheathing up quick and just throw some tar paper over because we had rain and snow coming.

Took the plywood off the roof to finish the front wall.

The back 2 windows are privacy bathroom windows to so the neighbor can't spy on my girls haha.

    I am so jealous!
Do you need a permit where you live for a coop this size?

No I looked up the town codes and you can build a shed up to 144 sq ft without a permit. I didn't really like the idea of a 12 x 12 so I made it a 10 x 14 so i am 4sq ft short of the maximum size allowed. Would you need a permit there for the same size coop?

Ground here is frozen, so fires need to be built where posts have to go in ground. Here it's all need permit. Anything over 100 ft sq needs blueprints. So 8x12.

    You coop looks super!

Watching you build and green with envy. 50 mph winds and a dry hay meadow do not mix. No work for me this weekend.

The floor plan is all in my head. I've been planning this coop for well over a year. Still changing things on the fly with it. The length of the back wall is going to be the roosts with a poop board underneath and the nest boxes will be built outside the right side wall for easy access.
