That was a bit much eh? But I couldn't get that danged song out of my head while we painted. I had to do it!

It took me all summer to build my coop and run, and the shed the coop is in was already there!

Yes it helped! But...what I wrote was a parody of the song. The original is a bit depressing although catchy.
I like my version better.

This youngster had just walked across my covered porch (my summer living room) as I sat inside. My first thought was, who has a big, black shaggy dog, and why are they letting it run free?! I didn’t realize what he was til I got to the open slider! My sputtering indignation did move him over the gate and up into the woods in a hurry.
Btw, the Plott bear hound who rooms with me was no where to be found!
