Finally!

I’m so impatient I candled a bit earlier then I planned.
This is the only egg on day 13 that is showing anything other then a yoke. It’s a really thick shell and a bit darker. I should mention that these are guinea eggs
Does it look ok?

I also tossed in a second batch that I took from my broody guinea hen. These eggs are roughly on day 7 or 8. Unfortunately only 4 eggs had shadows/veins. Here are a couple I was able to gets okish pictures of. It’s so hard to get the camera to “see” what I’m seeing.

At what point should I remove eggs? Is 13 days more then enough time to see something even in thick shelled eggs? Should I wait another week before tossing any out? So far none of them smell. I did remove one egg that had cracks in the shell and a huge air cell.

So happy your guineas are finally giving you fertile eggs! I see several that look pretty good. It's hard to tell on the others. I would leave all of them in until day 20. Guinea eggs are so hard to see through, it's too risky to throw them out any earlier. I had a guinea egg marked as dead, but i left it in anyway, and when I candled on day 20 it was growing! So unless any start to stink or ooze, leave them in. Guinea eggs rarely explode.

So happy your guineas are finally giving you fertile eggs! I see several that look pretty good. It's hard to tell on the others. I would leave all of them in until day 20. Ok, I’ll leave them all in and candle again before lockdown. I feel better now knowing some are for sure doing something. Lol It will be easier to leave them be
