It's 10PM and it's under 80 degrees outside.

We had one day this past week when the low temp was 95!

When I got into the pool this afternoon, the pool was actually nice.

Paradise will soon be back to AZ.

Wahoo!

I wish it would stay that warm here, or at least a little bit!! All year-round, the day and night temps are at least 20 degrees difference, usually 30 or more. Makes it a bit chilly when the daytime high is 95, and the lows are 65 or 70...BRRRR!! (man, I miss Florida!

If it stays this way, I'll be able to open the coop windows and shut off the AC in the coop!

But it's not going to stay this nice, is it? I figured it was a fluke, then we were going to be reminded once again how stupid we are for not being snowbirds.

Do you know something I don't???

Hey, Mahonri,
What would a mom, 3 kids, and a grandma do for kicks in Scottsdale? No, we don't golf. And one of them is a 2 year old, so arcades, high tea, and high-adventure is out

Arizona Science Center sounds great, so that's one day. I've checked out at least 60 websites for zoos, railroad deals, ghost towns, arcades, water parks, and I can't really get a feel for a lot of them.
If you give me a good steer in the right direction, I might send you a coupon for Taco Bell in return.

My kids love Sunsplash. Is grandma adventurous?

If you've got a weekend, we LOVED driving to Williams, sleeping over night at the motel there, (they have deals you can find online) taking the train to the Grand Canyon and back and then a visit to Sunset Crater to the NE of Flagstaff, then a nice drive back to the valley.... and we took a 2 year old once.

We love the IMAX there in Scottsdale.

We've done the Tiger Zoo out west.

You can always do CC Hatchery on a Saturday, they have a lot of different animals.... (go to Craig'slist to find them) or google them.

You could go watch the Cards' practice in Flag?

I had no choice but to put in a wall unit. I had lost three hens to the heat... we had the hottest July on record. (and the 3rd coolest June...go figure)
