My EE finally laid her first egg! I heard the egg song from another hen and when I went to the coop my EE was in one of the nest boxes (first time ever). I waited out of the coup and when she came running out I was so excited. I went in and was VERY happy to see a cute little sea foam green egg! I was hoping she would lay a green egg!!!!

I haven't wolfed it down. I'm going to wait until the entire family sees it. I was home with my 3 year old, so I have to let the other kids and my husband see it!!!

Isn't it funny how a little egg can make you so happy especially the first one. Our whole family passed it around and around declaring it the most perfect egg ever laid lol. Chickens who woulda thunk!

Congrats! Mine never sing, they just run out of the house fast as they can before anyone notices.

She's right around 23 weeks. The funny thing is she doesn't sing either, all the other girls sing. When a hen goes into the coup to lay all the other girls sing, not the one going in to do her thing. Does anyone know if EE's will lay every day or close to every day??? I would love to get a nice little bunch of these tiny pretty green eggs!!!
