Finaly Got That Sucker!!!!!!

ok ,thanks a lot! our barn smells strongly of raccoon tight now, and i want to catch it BEFORE it goes on a chicken raid....

i dont blame you!one more tip i can give you,mix dry catfood with peanut butter.next cut the toe out of a old white sock about 7 inches from the end.put the catfood/peanut butter in the toe of the sock(about 2 spoons full)and tie it up.then tie the whole thing to the inside top of the trap directly above the trigger plate.this acts as a visual atractant for the coon,as well as making him work for the bait, more likely to trip the trigger.
its worked for me MANY times

I had issues with the trap not staying set,or the trigger plate was stuck. I had to mess with the bar under the trigger plate(caught in side of cage). Also had to bend the bar that was used to set the trigger plate.Once I got it set I would poke the plate with a stick, and it went off with little effort after a few adjustments. Hope you have a coon this am!
