We have had both, and they're great. I miss my chickens, especially my grumpy wyandottes and BR Roo (rip).I have looked up good beginner breeds to start with and Buff Orpingtons and Dominiques are among the easiest to have and keep with their gentle demeanor and hardiness. Both are great in the heat and harsh cold!
