I was going to a non demoninational, since thats what I am. But honestly I find myself much happier worshipping alone or with close friends

Yeah, that church was also non-denom. The one before it was Baptist.
Personally, I greatly enjoy worshipping with others, but I definitely understand the aspect of wanting to be alone, too. It's more intimate that way.
I love the way we worship in the Orthodox church, it feels so much more... Full I think.
