Diabetics are more prone to infections, etc. so if you cut your foot, it could get infected. Especially since they’re also more prone to nerve damage so a cut may go unnoticed. I should know, I’m diabetic lol I don’t have the nerve damage though. But I’m never barefoot now unless maybe occasionally in bed but that’s it. I used to be barefoot all the time.
