Finding a missing chick!

It's chicken wire, so I don't think she could have chewed through it or fit through it.

Babies are able to slip through the smallest of spaces you wouldn't imagine they can! I wouldn't leave the remaining chicks outside unattended if I were you. It is unlikely your chick will be found. I know we have coons and hawks around where we live. My chicks are going on two weeks old and today was the first time outside. I watched them the whole time, Im paranoid.

A chick can be pulled through chicken wire. A snake can slide right in, eat a chick, and slide out without a sign other than the missing chick. This is why my brooder pen has 1/2" hardware cloth for the wire.
