finding bobwhite eggs in a ground pen

I need to build some ground pens for bobwhite so they are ready when it is time to separate the males out. With ground pens or runs, is it hard to find the eggs? will the bobwhite quail lay in a nest or just drop them anywhere?

there has to be someone with bobwhites on the ground here....

If you give them material theyll make their own nest and they should lay in. They wont brood it but they should at least generally deposit eggs in it
