My Isa Browns are 13 weeks old. For quite awhile I have been finding Feathers in the coop and run. I know some of them are from flying around the coop but do they keep losing feathers and new ones coming in where they are growing. None of the 12 of them have any bald spots or anything. Wanted to make sure it was normal.

Yeah it is normal. They will molt as juveniles when they are around that age.

Thanks! I wanted to make sure because I had found some off and on and then today there seemed to be more of them. None have bald spots and the feathers I see just have white and see no blood. Just weren't sure when they molt. I figured where they are growing so fast they were just getting new ones. :)

Chicken go thru 3-4 mini-molts or plumage changes in the first year.

It's good you are seeing the feathers, means that they aren't eating them and they are getting enough protein from their feed.
