There is this dust that comes from the Quail. I have 4 in my living room. I'm a pretty messy person but the layer of dust I saw on my tv stand finally made me lose it, I will be moving them to then den in my apartment and sealing that room off like an asbestos treatment.

Where does that dust come from? They have a box of sand inside their humble abode. But it doesnt look like sand, its this fine fine light brown particle that goes flying everywhere, every time a Quail jumps and hits its head on the netting on top of the box to allow for light to go in.

Japanese cotournix if that makes a difference

All birds have feather dust, I believe it's some kind of mix of dead skin cells and bits of feather and down..
