Have you tried strawberries, green beans or sprouted wheat? Wheat sprouts are like DUCKY CRACK to my sister's flock.

I've tried regular sprouts (several different kinds) with no luck... will try to find wheat. Tried strawberries once without much interest, will try again. Though that could create the same problem as the tomatoes. LOL. Havent tried green beans. Do you chop them up?

We have two... who also decimated my kitchen garden. Won't touch the chopped cabbage I feed them, but nibbled all the leaves off my red cabbage plants they could reach... and the bottom 18" of snap pea shoots. Bad ducks!

LOL, you know my almost 13wk olds like honeydew melon, they sneak in after the chickens have been put away then fight over the remains... they also love romaine lettuce, and for some reason which i have yet to figure out they are eating my pear tree! they literately, are leaping to grab the leaves.

Seems to me that my flock isn't interested at first with anything they did not get as ducklings. So my mistake was not providing enough variety in treats.

They do like to eat cabbage on the stalk, as you mentioned, so I plant some stuff just for them in containers then let them have at it.

I think next year the "kitchen garden" will become the "duck garden" and I'll switch to raised beds ;)

So I tried feeding them peas this morning and had some success... I tried a small bowl, which they seemed to like. Had a hard time with the texture at first, but they both took a few bites from the bowl. So at snack time I put out a big bowl, which they immediately spilled in the fruckus. Ducks. Now the peas are all over the ground. I assume they will start eating them, but they just stared at the pile and seemed to lose interest. Nemo walked away. So I pick up a handful of peas and try to coax Nibbler, who is still standing there, to eat them, which he does... ravenously. I pick up another handful and he eats it out of my palm. Will he eat them off the ground now? No. So I sat there feeding him by hand until the pile was gone.

I knew my ducks were spoiled, but this is ridiculous.
