Finished my coop *pics*

Just finished up today, or almost finished. I still have a lot of finishing touches and trim work to do. Thanks to all the pics here on BYC, I just kinda designed it as I went, not having any building experience. My Uncle helped me to the roof, but I dont have a picture of it yet. I can add it later if anyone wants to see. Just some old tin that was free.


Coop was gonna be 4x8, then changed to 6x8, with those extra 2 feet as hardware cloth to help with airflow. Gets hot in South MS.









The small door below will go out to the run, which I will build next week.







I used a lot of older/scrap boards to cut down on costs...






Happy Happy Girls! All 10 of them! I do have 2 roosts in now and larger food/water containers...
 
Btw, "their door" that will go to the run outside is currently covered with hardware cloth untill the run is finished.

Also, the holes between the walls and upper roof trusses are covered with hardware cloth as vents. Will update pics soon...Sorry.
 
Now I have got some serious coop envy

am going to be showing this to the hubz so he can start figuring out exactly what he needs to do to build the coop de ville of my and my girls dreams!!
