So I converted an old shed 7 feet wide almost 4 feet deep and 6 foot tall. threw on a very cheap 8 foot run thats only 2 foot tall. Just trying to let these chickens be outside now. They seem to be enjoying it so far. I have already added a roost more than big enough for all of them, my question is since the damn things almost 8 feet long and 6 foot high, should i make an interior ramp and give them a second story? they are young enough im heating at night the next week. keeps getting below 50 f. It's just so exciting counting them the first morning out there. knowing they all made it from store to outside day 2.

You can if you want but you'll be taking it down when they're full grown so.... ?? As long as they have everything that little chicks need, adding a 2nd story and ramp would just be for fun. You can instead throw some stumps or other things for them to jump up on in there if you're wanting to provide entertainment. OR did I get your objective wrong? Are you trying to get them closer to a heat lamp or something? Anyhow, sounds like you're doing great :D

I was just concerned i was wasting interior space lol. Unless im going to make roost's up to 5 feet at intervals. lol. they seem happy so far. tonights night two in the coop and they seem happier out there even if they arent inside to say good morning to me lol.

Well that's a good point. My headroom is at 6feet (less on the roof slant,(

and my roost bars are at about 3feet so I do have wasted space considering they don't need that much room from the roost to roof. So you COULD build that 2nd story you're thinking of to store supplies under it. I would only go about 1.5 feet because you have to consider ventilation being above their heads (my ventilation you can't see in the pic because it's in the high point/peak as well as front and back - so 3 sides total with ventilation and windows that open are in this pick just for airing out,) but yeah, that'd be decent storage to have.

i like that. il consider under storage. I dont want to keep them at grond level. but i also like the fact i got 4 walls protecting an area. lol. Ill see wha ti can do down the road here.
