Finnish chickens?????

Hi Everybody,

Does anyone have any idea where I can find Finnish chickens??? I am having a difficult time with this and would welcome anyone's ideas or thoughts.

Feathersite says that there are only around 3,000 in existance. Odds of finding them in the States may be quite low.

Here is a finnish bird I would like to have.

It is called a Metso and is a turkey sized partrige from Finland.
I work for a Finnish company called Metso, which they named after this bird.

Its a really nice looking bird but I would prefer a chicken over a turkey. I did already go to Featherside and contacted the owner but did not receive a response as of yet. It doesn't matter where in Europe or North America the birds come from as I would be willing to import them if need be. Thanks for your quick response.

Why do you want them? If its for looks, you could probably find some barnyard birds around here. Importing is very hard and takes a long time to get all the paperwork done from what I have heard.

It's not because of looks. I was wanting a rare breed to help preserve. I know it will be hard to import but arn't rare birds with it??
