Fire place insert coop

It seems to me that it would be a good idea to drill a few holes (to the outside) above her perch for cross ventilation. I'd love to see pictures of your sweetie when you have a chance

No ... it's about an hour and a half drive up to Coombs and we barely make to the Cobble Hill swaps two blocks away. LOL. We don't travel much, sad to say.
Glad to know there are other BYCers on the island though. Good luck with your coop and look forward to pics.

Wow that's a cute idea for a single bantam, and doesn't take away from your floor space.
Fireplaces do have downward draft - maybe an "awning" can direct it away from her.
The only other suggestion that I can think of is make sure the floor of the little coop isn't only wood, you don't want droppings soaking thru and then soaking into bricks = very porous and super hard to clean.
