CO is caused by the incomplete burning of many fuel sources, including wood. To assure that the stove does not cause CO to become probleematic, be sure that the flue pipe is not restricted, and is not cracked or leaking. Also, be sure the door seals are tight. Wood burning stoves are amazing in the winter, and when properly maintained, can be enjoyed without worry

I didn't even know it was possible until I started researching heating the home with a wood burning stove or FP.
