Hello,
My name is Jen and my family has 6 chickens. We have had chickens for years, but just recently decided to add more to our coop. We like sharing eggs with our family and friends.
We recently acquired 2 young chickens that are due to start laying in September. Unfortunately, shortly after they moved into the coop we discovered one of them is a rooster. We can not have a rooster in our neighborhood.
We hope to sell him and find another layer.

Welcome to BYC! I agree that your roo is not an Australorp... wrong comb, wrong color ears, and the body shape isn't right for an Australorp neither. You might want to join our Arizona state's thread here. Maybe someone can tell you what he really is, or perhaps someone close by you might take him.
