Hi. Not sure if this is the correct forum but here goes.....we live in a semi-rural location and have begun getting the random firework being set off at various times. I simply wonder do we have to manage the chickens differently or do anything during the firework/bonfire night period? Thank you.

I'd just recommend you've got all of your birds locked up before people start setting them off.

As @cavemanrich says, if you are setting them off yourself, make sure to try and do it as far away from your coops as possible.

As for bonfires, if you are having one, I found our chickens will walk through flames and hot ash without a care. Best to not let them attempt to cook themselves as they try to dustbathe and dig in fire :gig

Overall, I haven't really found they effect my birds at all. We live in an area where there is a venue close that hosts weddings and such at late night. They set loud fireworks off at least once a month. I've never noticed any issues.
